 | Minori Villa Romana e AntiquariumMinori (about 1 km from Maiori) is famous for the Basilica of St. Trofimena and the Villa Romana. According to tradition between the sixth and seventh century. was found on the beach of Minori a urn containing the relics of the Holy Martyr, still jealously guarded by the Basilica minores. The Roman Villa dating back to the first century. D.C. and probably belonged to a wealthy patrician. The villa of Minori reflects the type of "maritime villa" on two floors, with environments for representing in the west area and terminal environments in the east area . Of the upper deck, built later, are still a few elements not clearly legible. The lower floor is very well preserved. We can see a "viridarium" with central outdoor pool, surrounded by a three arcade; the area are well-preserved frescoes and mosaics.
